Not until you're finished your first draft. My first drafts are ALWAYS far shorter than my second which are shorter than my third. (you KNOW that's true!) Just tell the story, THEN go back and decide if it needs to be bigger. Or smaller. Or tighter. <br /><br />And yes, you know I overanalyze things to death too--you're not alone.
